Who is going on a fieldtrip to the State House with us?

VOICE of Peru Parents Logo

VOICE of Peru Parents is committed to giving a voice and power back to the Parents and Grandparents of Children in the public school system, to combat all forms of discrimination, bullying, and duty neglect of the administration.

Since our founding on January 1st, 2025, over 50 Families have reached out to us to help them when they felt their Child(ren) was/were not safe at school, or when their Child was assaulted or bullied, or if their IEP was neglected.

We give Parents/Grandparents step by step guidance on how to take action, inform them of common tactics school administrators use to intimidate Parents and brush them off.

We consult with attorneys that specialize in Education Law, and setup meetings for Parents with Attorneys.
Education Law is a specialized area that attorneys need extra education to be equipped.
One example of when a school oversteps their authority is the abuse of the law “in loco parentis.”
In loco parentis is a law that gives schools limited rights to act on behalf of the parents in their absence (as parents are not at school with their Child).
This law does NOT give the school full parental authority, but schools will bend and abuse this law at-will.

It is very important that Parents know their rights, AND THEIR CHILD’s RIGHTS at school.
Yes, Students still have rights at school, and they ARE protected from unlawful search and seizures.
They are also protected from retaliatory actions from the school.
But most of the time, Parents back down due to intimidation tactics from the school administrators.
This is why we are here.
We are that loud voice for Parents that school administrators wishes would go away.

Nobody in our organization makes any money doing this.
We are all volunteers. and we cannot be bought off or silenced.

Join our loud voice and make schools a safer place for all our Kids and Grandkids!

We are convinced that most, if not all, mass-school violence incidents committed by students or former students, could have been prevented if school administrators were doing their jobs, and not sweeping everything under the rug.
EVERY-SINGLE Student and EVERY-SINGLE report of a threat MUST be taken seriously by administrators.
Sadly, administrators brush off reports, and usually don’t even document them.
Why wouldn’t they document them? …
So they can claim they were not aware after a tragic incident occurs.
And so they don’t have to do the paperwork of reporting it to the state or to the parents…
And so they don’t have to come up with an action plan to resolve it.
… All the things they are being paid big money to do!

This is why we exist. This is why we were formed.

In addition to the over 50 Families that we have helped, over 40 other Families have come forward with their own stories of incidents that occurred over the years, from before we existed.
